Debunking The Republican Talking Point – Obama Is Not The Reckless Spender Republicans Want You To Believe.

How many lies have to be told before the news press wakes the hell up and starts correcting these intentional misrepresentations that have been told consistently about President Obama to tarnish his character, accomplishments and paint him as an unfavorable person so the Republican party can continue to loot the working class?

Rex Nutting from market watch had a great piece I think should be shared with everyone who has heard time and time again the accusation that President Obama is drowning this country in more debt since he is just a big spender. Well, that couldn’t be true because the facts says it all and the fact is Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush have sunk this country into a massive debt so let’s debunk the myth Republicans are trying to spin as usual.

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — Of all the falsehoods told about President Barack Obama, the biggest whopper is the one about his reckless spending spree.

As would-be president Mitt Romney tells it: “I will lead us out of this debt and spending inferno.”

Almost everyone believes that Obama has presided over a massive increase in federal spending, an “inferno” of spending that threatens our jobs, our businesses and our children’s future. Even Democrats seem to think it’s true.

Government spending under Obama, including his signature stimulus bill, is rising at a 1.4% annualized pace — slower than at any time in nearly 60 years.

But it didn’t happen. Although there was a big stimulus bill under Obama, federal spending is rising at the slowest pace since Dwight Eisenhower brought the Korean War to an end in the 1950s.

Even hapless Herbert Hoover managed to increase spending more than Obama has.

In fiscal year 2013, according to CBO’s forecast,  spending is scheduled to fall to $3.58 trillion which is a 1.3% decline from FY 2012. I must agree to what the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said yesterday when he forcefully rebuke the press for buying into the Republican BS that this Administration is spending too much adding that “doing so is a sign of sloth and laziness”. Yes indeed!

I am proud of my President because the road America has travelled with President Obama in the last 3 1/2 years are the most difficult, challenging and at times discouraging where it seemed the President was doing his thing all alone.  The Professional Left though he is not doing much or is not Left enough for them while the obstructionist birthers and Republicans have made it their do or die commitment plotting how they can down Obama’s Presidency with horrible and divisive rhetoric doing anything and everything they can to drag American into a ditch.

Below is just a flash back vedio about where we were and where we are today and still with all the shit this country was left after G.W. Bush left office, President Obama’s record are factually the most impressive in managing our spending and he has all of these accomplishments to back it up with.

It is only my hope that the Press will tell the truth and if they don’t you as readers can spread the truth one door at a time. YES WE CAN AND YES WE WILL!

you are so correct! the press(of course, excluding Faux News) twists itself into a pretzel to make sure they are ‘fair’ – so much so, that for every Republican lie that they talk about, they just have to find some obscure, and often questionable ‘lie’ or spin the Dems (they say) have made. They never ever call out Rightie Pundits on their shows(well, MSNBC tries to, but not with much success).. when THEY lie, right on the very air that particular host is occupying. Just them talking about people like W and Willard as if they are really qualified for the job, and sincere(SO NOT).. makes me sick.
They have all had too much of the Kool-Aid.

They have accepted lies as a way to make money. It is part of the business model that keeps America to be one of the most uninformed country in the world. Sound bits have control the attention span of average working Americans and trying to debunk the lies is more complicated and difficult to understand. You can ask for a start with what ACA would do and I bet you 80% would line up the negative BS they have heard in a span of a minute without any effort to learn the truth. Anyway, until the media becomes responsible, I don’t suppose things would change much. Thank you for reading and commenting.

You’re 100% correct and I, too, wish the media would start doing their job properly, the way it was done in times gone by. Of course we know Fox is the worst culprit, but I feel that CNN is skewed against the President as well as other outlets are. I never miss Meet The Press, but find myself wondering if David Gregory is a Republican each time I do watch it. The most important fact is that more and more of us out in the “real world” know who and what our President is, which is precisely why we love him as we do.
