1) President Obama’s New Numbers Look Great and I bet Matt Damon and the Professional Left are just pissed off because the President don’t got balls:
Alexander Abad-Santos at the Atlantic Wire — Just in time for his State of The Union address, the latest ABC News/Washington Post Poll shows that President Obama has garnered a 53 percent favorability rating–much higher than Republican opponents and his highest since April 2010. Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich, the two Republican frontrunners at the moment, clock in with 31 and 29 percent favorability ratings respectively.
2) Swing Voters Loved It by Andrew Sullivan shows a matrix that pretty much confirms how well Americans liked the President’s State of the Union address:

3) Statement by the President on Successful Hostage Rescue
January 25, 2012
On Monday, I authorized an operation to rescue Jessica Buchanan, an American citizen who was kidnapped and held against her will for three months in Somalia. Thanks to the extraordinary courage and capabilities of our Special Operations Forces, yesterday Jessica Buchanan was rescued and she is on her way home. As Commander-in-Chief, I could not be prouder of the troops who carried out this mission, and the dedicated professionals who supported their efforts.
4) Jon Cohen at the WashingtonPost talks about the evaporating support for Mitt Romney:
The number of Americans with negative views of Mitt Romney has spiked in a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, compounding the former Massachusetts governor’s challenges as he tries to rally from Saturday’s big loss in South Carolina.
Among independents, Romney’s unfavorable rating now tops 50 percent — albeit by a single point — a first in Post-ABC polling back to 2006. Just two weeks ago, more independents had favorable than unfavorable views of Romney; now, it’s 2 to 1 negative.
5) I am sorry but when I saw this picture, I couldn’t help it but crack up so hard it really hurt. I would be delighted to see an Obama/Gingrich run off for the Presidency. I can just imagine how the President will enjoy debating the “family value” guy.
